Total Funds Management
From a review of estimated cash flows and creation or strengthening of the investment policy to formation of written fund strategies, First Southwest assists the client in the total treasury function:
We are responsible for working with the client to determine the best allocation of all funds within cash flow constraints;
As securities mature, we present the client with alternatives and discuss potential risks associated with individual securities and the prevailing market. We then identify authorized securities and execute trades from the inventories of more than twenty different dealers;
We assist in securities clearance to better ensure smooth trade execution and delivery;
We maintain all trade records, provide complete compliance reporting, and present investment results to the client's governing body on a periodic basis;
We prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly investment portfolio reports for the client;
Assist in special projects as requested by the client, such as investment policy and strategy review; and
Keep clients continually informed of changing market conditions and the potential effect on their portfolio.
This service is most appropriate for entities that do
not have a dedicated investment staff, have little investment experience and/or
keep large balances in pools or money funds. To be cost effective to the entity,
this type of management typically requires total balances that exceed $15
million.
