First Southwest Asset Management, Inc. established its Investment Management Services in 1988 to assist governmental entities with the complexities of investing public funds in the fixed income markets. As a Securities and Exchange Commission Registered Investment Advisor, we promote conservative, cash management-based investment strategies that adhere to the fiduciary responsibilities of public funds investment officers. First Southwest's investment managers provide governmental entities with a safe, convenient, and cost effective access to the fixed income markets.

The investment management group provides conservative investment strategies that complement the client's existing investment program. Our investment managers provide non-discretionary or discretionary portfolio services to government entities with over $5 billion worth of transactions in fixed income securities annually. First Southwest's ability to combine broad market knowledge with specific client needs allows for more effective administration of each investment portfolio and ensures the successful achievement of our client's objectives.

As investment officers are asked to do more with fewer resources, First Southwest offers a viable solution. Often, the additional income received from an active portfolio management approach assist to offset our management fee. The fee structure is flexible and is often tied to the assets under management. The management fee for our investment advisory client is fully disclosed and no hidden fees exist.
